Somewhere in Alberta: Panthers Off-day Notes
The Florida Panthers approach an unseasonably-warm Edmonton's Northlands Coliseum Rexall Place. Here head coach Peter DeBoer requests valet parking.
Not expecting a whole lot of anything today, given the Cats and Oil aren't exactly making headlines these days. With the exception of the goalie non-controversy in Florida, fans await the return of, well, anyone from the injured list. Alas, the rundown:
LITTER BOX LINERS
- Miami Herald: Zednik, Murphy, ups and downs on the road
- Sun-Sentinel: unique content
- Edmonton Sun: happy to be home
- Edmonton Journal: Nillson, Gagne hurt; Blog: salivating for Jay-Bo
- Rochester Democrat and Chronicle: AHL Amerks' nightmare continues

looking ahead
Being optimistic for a moment— lets say the Panthers continue on their solid streak of good games, collecting points in most of their games and making the playoffs. Maybe after that, when the team is ‘popular’ in the South Florida sports relm, maybe then will we be able to watch ALL 82 of our Panthers games on TV. Its so annoying that we have to go three straight games without any TV coverage.
Looks like it’ll be the same lineup in Edmonton as it was in Ottawa. Zednick and Murphy could be days away, while Booth and Hortz are still in the ‘a week or so’ area.
Still no announcement on who is starting, but my nickel is on Andy, DeBoer has said he will ride the hot hand and last time i checked, thats ‘Mr. Anderson’
**UPDATE**
No roster moves will be made from game in OTT, most likely will be the same for Friday’s game against Calgary.
Craig Anderson back in the net tomorrow…most likely Voky back in on Friday.
Nice Dave
Beat me to that news by mere moments!
T-Vo’s got a domineering history against the Flames. No complaints with that decision.
