Name 'em all in 3 minutes and win...notoriety

Questions_medium

This was emailed to me today by John at Jetpunk.com , and I found it rather fun:

How many NHL teams can you name in three minutes?

Presumably without loading up NHL.com and cheating like this guy.

Should be a snap for most of us. For the record, yours truly missed three: Phoenix, Columbus, and Nashville (anything to be read into that regarding expansion and relocation? Hmmm.).

You are only required to enter the nickname of each club (i.e. "Red Wings", not "Detroit Red Wings". And beware...a spelling error will force you to delete whatever has been typed thus far.

Nice work, Earl of BOC!

I was thinking...

…that Odin’s gonna kill me for that one!

Blame it on the $5.99 bottle of Livingston Merlot. Please. It’s all I’ve got.

That's a good excuse.

But don’t try using that one next time. :)

Woohoo! Got ‘em all in 1:49. But then, I’m a nerd. I can’t believe that 75% got the Panthers, but only 61% got the Sabres.

Now THAT'S hard to believe

I’m just lucky I didn’t refer to Tampa Bay as Charlestown

i blame it on my crappy spelling, couldnt get coyotes. Last team i named was Colorado…guess im still trying to erase them from my memory.

Poll on ESPN had people voting if they thought there would be less/same/more teams in the NHL in 5 years. 50% said same, 15% said more 35% said less. Personally, with the way NHL has been fluxing the past 18 months, i have no idea. As long as there is hockey in South Florida, ill be fine.

Heh, that was fun

I went by division alignment and geography, a holdover from doodling in my notebook back in school. So traveling beyond the Patrick/Adams into the expansion southeast was challenging — as was physically backspacing when I started to type J-e-t-s and W-h-a-l-e…

It's never easy, Dom

For example, I’m staring at a signed/framed Pronger/Sanderson/Burke litho directly above my desk.

Now THAT’S tough.

Lots of Jets/Whale talk…sooo awesome.

Because I just came home from the game and I’m tired and it took me awhile to remember Nashville and Columbus. If only we had SBN blogs for both…
