TODAY AROUND THE SOUTHEAST

  • Caps @ Flyers:  classic Patrick division battle
  • Canes @ Broons:  I can finally say it: Go B's!
  • Bolts @ Thrashers:  Think this'll go to a SO?

Essentially, the Cats' fate - for the next day, at least - rests in everyone else's hands tonight. They are not going to lose their third-place standing, but the spectre of Carolina gaining an additional two points is frightening. Florida may have two games in hand as of tomorrow, but it's a moot issue when the games you're making up are your adversaries' victories. Double jeopardy.

WAS and CAR

both lost…sweet. Thanks Boston and Philly.

if I had my choice, I’d prefer the Canes losing 7-1 instead of the Caps. I feel like the Canes are becoming the Jets of the Southeast Division (from a Dol-Fan’s standpoint)

HUGE!

That’s fantastic. Got one of those games in hand against CAR back.

“Jets of the Southeast”. Sweet.

Duuuude

Floyd, man!

And 7-1! Oh my. I’m afraid to check on Japers’. Also afraid of the Flyers, incidentally.

Turns out the score may have been deceptive
Team A fires shot after shot but Team B holds slim lead. Team comes back for another period and continues to shoot and shoot. Team B scores fluky/soft/unexpected goal. Rout commences. This is not the first time said formula has happened in this league.

We live it down here

And having followed the Whale for a long spell, I’m immune.

Insane, but immune.
