Plus 1

What's so important about the number one? Yes, this is my first FanPost here on The Litter Box, but more importantly, this is the first time since Friday, Oct 13th 2006, that the Florida Panthers have been on the positive side of the goal differential in a season. Last time they were in the black was as a firm +5 on the first game of the season, which lasted all of one day as they promptly lost the following day by 6 goals. They climbed back to a +3 the ensuing week before losing by three to Tampa Bay and never looking back. Now they are +1. 120 For, 119 against. One can only hope that this trend continues as the Panthers try to make this streak their longest winning streak of the season (Their longest win streak of the season is 3 games, happening twice in a row anchored by the 4-0 Boston loss in the middle).

Nice!
I would settle for breaking the consecutive points streak as well (at 6 games). Either way, this team sure is fun to watch…and how nice is it that we own the 3rd period? “This…is OUR time!” (name that movie, hockey fans)
