PrintPlaying catch-up all day, the Cats survived a lackluster second period, a confused third, and a defensive OT to force the shootout (which, as is well known, was their personal hell).
Coach Pete DeBoer gets full credit for this one, not only for his line-matching through regulation, but in the shootout lineup he employed: Steve Reinprecht and local boy Ville Koistinen (1g in regulation), neither of whom were around for the SO atrocities present with this gang since the lockout.
