Reinprecht buries three as Panthers show best and worst, prevail over Stars 6-5 in SO
Panthers vs Stars coverage Defending Big D
No one expected a three-goal lead to be held by a Panthers squad with very little experience in gaining a lead, much less holding it, but after a back-and-forth remaining 40 minutes, the Cats ultimately walked out with the win.
Keeping it short tonight, but what you need to know is Steven Reinprecht scored three intitial goals - in the first - to begin what appeared to be an old-fashioned blowout. Nathan Horton and Dennis Seidenberg each had two assists.
BTW: we've got a new line in South Florida: Cory Stillman-Steven Reinprecht-Nathan Horton. RIP Sunrise Express.
What will it take to re-name Florida's other centers "Steven/Stephen"?
Rostislav Olesz ended a hellaciously strong night with a game-winner in the shootout. I'll go as far as to say this may have been his strongest game as a member of the NHL. He looked that strong.
Otherwise, uber-sweet seeing Panthers fan-favorite VanMurph in the Dallas crowd, and we're pretty certain to have witnessed Snoopdawg as well, in a rotating-beacon arrangement. You guys saw a good one.

I had a great time out there last night! I haven’t enjoyed myself that much at a road game in a very long time! The goaltending was soft, but the scoring kept me on my feet as the game progressed!
And I was on my feet ONE more time than the home team fans… And that’s all that matters!
