Amerks win franchise record-tying 11th straight game

The Amerks will look to break the record on Thursday when they play the Portland Pirates at 7 p.m. at HSBC Arena in downtown Buffalo. The AHL record of 17 was set by the 2004-05 Philadelphia Phantoms.

That question has been asked more than once this season in the bitter and cynical section. Seriously, though, I’m glad the Amerks are doing well. They had some rough years there.
