Blueshirt Banter        *        Panthers at Rangers GameDay Central         *        TSN Preview

WELCOME TO THIS EVENING'S OPEN THREAD / LIVE BLOG

The Cats have won the past three against New York by a combined score of 8-2 (one shutout). Tomas Vokoun (5-1-1 in his past seven) gets the start for Florida. The Rangers (4-6 their last ten) have been treading water recently, relying on the heroics of Marian Gaborik and his league-lead tying 15 goals. Forward Cory Stillman will be out "for some time" following a knee injury in Detroit Friday. Three goals on three shots? That's what Rochester got from defenseman Keaton Ellerby last night. Speaking of the Amerks, forwards Michal Repik and Shawn Matthias are heading to MSG, called up by Florida this morning. And whatever happened to this dude?

Take a few moments to peruse the hypnotic and beautiful surroundings at Blueshirt Banter and say hi to Jim and the gang. Go Cats.

I’ll be there, up in the nosebleeds, but I’ll be sporting an old school white Beezer sweater. Go Cats.

Old school Rangers or Old School Panthers? In any case, check in with us, IC.

TVo’s turn tonight. Ripe for an old fashioned goalie controversy?

Very kidding, btw.

Go Cats!!!! Won’t be here for long but wanted to stop by. My dumb wife is at the game tonight in NY.

OT ...

I was channel surfing last night, and found coverage of the “Lingerie Football League” game at the BAC last night. Excuse the phrase, but it appears to be a bust — you’ll never see a hockey game that empty…

Couple of non-hockey friends went last week. They’re going back. Can’t drag them to a Panthers game. They also like killing things.

Those Chase ad’s on the back glass are annoying.

Anything good? We’re waiting for dinner. We’re having burritos delivered from the taco shop.

Possibly. Great move by Prospal, though.

Soft goal though by Vokoun, he needed to sit on it. Lots of pressure by the Panthers though, Lundquist is going to crack.

BTW, keep the graphic overlay a secret from the Panthers’ marketing department, they might try to sell glass space for real.

Great job. 4-on-4 near the end of a weak PP.

Hi guys, just checking in from the dark side, I must say, the Panther Propaganda Network is much more tolerable without Denis Potvin, who I am sure you know has a bit of a history with the Rangers and their fans

It’s still not that good, though. I’d rather listen to the Rangers guys. Maybe a side effect being from NY.

Only getting the MSG feed up here via Center Ice, the Rangers announcers are very complementary of the Panthers. Total opposite of the Detroit idiots from last night.

I’ve always liked watching the Rangers TV coverage. They’re pros.

Florida Panthers: Giving the league a punching bag since 2000.

by Johnny B on Nov 21, 2009 8:36 PM EST up reply actions

I tried posting a reply to Whale’s comment on the Comcast feed looking too bright. That’s the case with the “HD” feed as well (which is little more than the SD feed with gray bars left and right. The highlights are a bit washed out, losing detail, and the whole thing looks like somebody turned up the equivalent of the ‘sharpness’ control.

If this doesn’t post I’m going to cry. ;-)
