Tough keeping score these days with all the freak injuries and their associated callups from Rochester, but we'll try to clear it up: Dmitry Kulikov (neck), Gregory Campbell (upper body) appear to be a go. Bryan Allen (precautionary; will sit tonight) is covered by Jason Garrison. Kamil Kreps is out after involuntarily melding with the bench door on Wednesday.

Carolina's not in much better shape: reportedly they are still without Tim Gleason, Chad LaRose, Niclas Wallin, Erik Cole, Mike Ryan, and Joe Corvo.

But that Staal kid is in. Always welcome news in these here parts.

The clubs each have a home victory after completing the first two games of the season series, with the Cats winning 3-0 on November 4th.

All the usual excellence on everything Carolina is up at Canes Country, and I do recommend a visit. Thanks for coming out. Go Cats.

Oh, and talk about mixed emotions:

I’m thinking the Canes are terribly regretful about not re-signing Seidenberg. Wanted to go on the cheap, you get the cheap.

Have to wonder: was Sean Burke the equal of Cam Ward, minus a decent team in front of him?

HAD TO LOG ON TO ADD THIS LOL

safe to assume Booth will NOT be on the first line when he returns in 2013?

Whole thing still sucks. Wanted so badly for him to make the US Olympic team.

by Donny Rivette on Dec 18, 2009 9:11 PM EST reply actions

OK- so my theory about me shopping

on game nights seems to be working out…I just can’t afford to keep this up all season.

How many dives for the canes tonight?

by DarthDaddy98 on Dec 18, 2009 9:38 PM EST reply actions

That all went away when Laviolette was shown the door. Maurice doesn’t play that.

Cats defense is out of gas…

by DarthDaddy98 on Dec 18, 2009 9:45 PM EST reply actions

Look at how ridiculously nervous we are…10 minutes and a four goal lead. Who can blame us?

by Donny Rivette on Dec 18, 2009 9:46 PM EST reply actions

Our nervousness is obviously justified.

by DarthDaddy98 on Dec 18, 2009 9:48 PM EST up reply actions

Pull Vokoun?

No fault of his own, but a shakeup might be in order

by Donny Rivette on Dec 18, 2009 9:48 PM EST reply actions

A good old fashioned ass-chewing py PDB might accomplish the same task.

by DarthDaddy98 on Dec 18, 2009 9:50 PM EST up reply actions

It’s nice all those folks have cash burning holes in their pockets and bank accounts that they can show up at a Toyota dealer, dive into a Camry, and call it a day.

Not quite there, myself.

I haven’t seen Happy Pony yet this evening – its disappointing.

402 HP Nutcracker sounds like its from Home Improvement.

by coasterg on Dec 18, 2009 9:57 PM EST reply actions

If you think about it 6-3 is the same as 4-1, 4-1 just sounds much more impressive.

by coasterg on Dec 18, 2009 10:02 PM EST reply actions

Finally -

A late game penalty NOT on us…

by DarthDaddy98 on Dec 18, 2009 10:03 PM EST reply actions

WOOHOO!!!

I was close with my prediction…

by DarthDaddy98 on Dec 18, 2009 10:05 PM EST reply actions

Over .500! Just keep it rolling on the road.

by coasterg on Dec 18, 2009 10:05 PM EST reply actions

I have never been so nervous with 6 in the net

by pantherdazz on Dec 18, 2009 10:07 PM EST reply actions

I think they need to call up McIntyre for Philly on Monday. Dispense some real justice to the Flyers – its the Law of the West.
