Star-divide

Off to a Christmas party tonight - and the game's not on locally anyway (NHL Gamecenter, 7pm) - so we're on autopilot for this one. Not to mention I'm working today, shopping, gotta feed the chickens, watch Trek, color the hair...

Peter DeBoer's timing couldn't have been better: Bryan Allen - rested last night - will return to the lineup as Dmitry Kulikov ("lower-body injury") remains in SoFla.

Enjoy the evening, take a peek at what our snowbound friends have on tap at Canes Country, and Go Cats.

Poll
Should the Panthers have stuck with the dopey "claws" on the gloves as pictured above during the uniform roll-out in 1993?

Oi!

Anybody in here? Well, I’ll sit here and talk to myself and drink my Pinot Grigio.

Allen in, Ellerby in the press box.

Yeah for being out of area with Center Ice!

Looks like the ’Canes are playing a rougher game tonight. Already had a fight with Campbell.

This is one of the few games I get not having cable. Too bad FSC is only showing fake HD tonight.

Quiet ...

… I’ve got Randy in all his fading, low-power nighttime AM glory

Ugh...

Shorthanded goal; now 0-2.

What a bunch of crap. They’re not looking so hot tonight.

Looking?

You have Center Ice or viewing via the intertubes?

by OldDave on Dec 19, 2009 7:39 PM EST up reply actions

I have the online Center Ice product (GameCenter). Normally Panther games are blacked out, but since FSF isn’t showing the game, we get the Carolina feed.

More mistakes tonight than last night and Clemmy isn’t looking so sharp either. Cats are blocking shots left and right for him too.

Oh dear, just logged on. Not looking to good early on

by pantherdazz on Dec 19, 2009 7:54 PM EST reply actions

Someone check the Panthers for mustaches, I think the “evil” ones show up this evening.

by coasterg on Dec 19, 2009 8:08 PM EST reply actions

Well, I saw Weiss check someone, so his doppelganger is probably in.

Canes goal. Bleh. Like the Wookie sound though.

OK...

Now it’s just getting ugly.

Hi all

Just popping in. Missing real barnburner, eh? No Clemmer mojo. Depressing.

by Donny Rivette on Dec 19, 2009 8:34 PM EST via mobile reply actions

I’m sure it’s very exciting — if you live in Raleigh.

by OldDave on Dec 19, 2009 8:43 PM EST up reply actions

Doesn’t help that Cam Ward is standing on his head tonight either. End of the 2nd period was pretty lively, keep that energy up and we could have an interesting 3rd/

Woot!

At least it’s not a shutout!

by OldDave on Dec 19, 2009 8:54 PM EST reply actions

Catching a couple of minutes on GameCenter…quality sucks tonight, btw. Cats coming on a bit.
