So, how 'bout them Eagles?

So I just caught the AM On the Fly highlights and I have to say this:
1) Did Richards try and hit Weiss a la Booth? I can’t tell if he pulled up at the last minute or if Weiss stepped out of the way in time.
2) Daniel Carcillo is a head case. His cross check on Vokoun after he made the save is easily one of the dumbest things I’ve seen in a while, and I’m pretty sure this memory replaces a former one that included a stupid penalty by a Flyer. Maybe Hartnell throwing his glove. I didn’t like him much as a Pens prospect either. But if he wants to go taking stupid penalties, be my guest.
3) It was unfortunate to see Richards NOT have to answer to his actions. In Booth’s defense I guess he was apprehensive to drop the mitts. Someone should’ve done it though.
4) Unrelated – but at least Laperriere got me 30 PIM in fantasy hockey. Woot.

Good points Frank, my response:
1. It sure looked like it. Guess Mr. Richards being such a good guy is exploiting that reputation.
2. He didn’t get penalized for running Vokoun after the play was over.
3. Richards and McCabe fought it out during the 1st period. After that point any Panthers player who looked at Richards sideways got a penalty and, in return, he committed about 3-4 obvious infractions that he wasn’t penalized for. In the beginning of the 3rd period there was a questionable Richards hit which we tried to respond to but the refs broke it up.
4. Its what he’s good for, hehe.
Wow, Carcillo didn’t get a penalty for that? If Vokoun were a quarterback in the NFL Carcillo would’ve been fined $20,000 and a kidney.
You’re right. I do recall seeing Richards fight someone in the highlights. Sorry to see it rolled the other way more often though. Still, kudos on the 4-1 win. As I often say with Philly opponents, the enemy of the enemy is my friend.
