Around SBN: NFL Roundtable: Which Draft Pick Is Most Likely To Bust?

Tuesday Caterwaul - Panthers Open Forum

Not a bad way to close out a Monday, eh? Stephen Weiss' four points weren't all that impressive to league brass, however, as Montreal defenseman Marc-Andre Bergeron's two-goal night evidently carried more weight with the Compuware Three Star selection committee. What a crock.

Good Win...Keep it Up....

Very strong all around from Campbell at the start, topped only by strong leadership from the Capt… Flyers showed nothing, and the Cats stepped up to the plate and took advantage… The only fault I had were a few loose coverages in their own end. Allen should’ve stepped out earlier on the Flyer goal and VanRiemsdyk lost possession after being left wide open in front of the net, but a great game overall…

Duco looks like he could be the agitator this team needs… He’s probably not going to take on the heavy weights, but he stirs the pot and can create energy and draw penalties a la the likes of Kaleta, Ott, Ruutu, Cooke, etc… He should stay, McIntyre play only when needed, Kreps stays home, and Tarnasky or McArdle to keep the energy going…

Olesz should be moved. His contract is bad, so we should offer him around and trade him for another bad contract(Rozival, Finger, Corvo, Stempniak, Souray??)….We’d probably have to give a bit more, but it would be worth the gamble.. I’d much rather watch a lesser-talented energy guy than Olesz….

Right Place, RIght Time.....

Not to take anything away from Weiss and his 4 pt night, but the goal kind of fell in his lap and the assists were the right play to make, but not anything that others couldn’t do. He made the right play out to the points, nice win for the team, and ride it out while he’s hot….

So not taking anything from and I’ll take the fantasy pts, but the best part of the game was the team’s response and energy to take advantage of a struggling Flyers club… No way the Flyers will put up with that effort, so changes will be made, as they should when you don’t have the right mix….

Heck yes! Weiss and Horton all the way (and they laughed when I traded Setoguchi for Horton). I kind of agree on the Bergeron thing though. He tied and won the game with his 2 goals, one on a play where he got hurt. So while it sucks that Weiss gets slighted here its understandable I guess.

He’ll just have to keep it up and go for the weekly and monthly selections!!!

When Stillman gets back do you think he should get his A back or should Dvorak keep it? I think they both deserve it but if I were Pete I’d give Dvorak a chance to run with it. Dvorak represents the teams style of play better and seems to word way harder.

BTW: I went to the Latvia vs. Russia exhibition game in Swift Current last night and Latvia had 3 captains, lol.

In Latvia

C stands for A

(works better with Soviet Russia)

Hard to argue Stillman over Dvorak…agree with your assessment of Dvo’s hustle
