Monday Caterwaul - Open Forum

So what's on your mind? Will we be seeing Mike Duco (above) again anytime soon? The Oilers are in town this evening; their 28 points represents the lowest total in the Northwest Division, yet one point better than Florida. Stephen Weiss: burning it up with six goals in his last four games, and a six-game point streak. Care to bet against Tomas Vokoun playing tonight?

Game’s on Sportsnet West. With Alberta watching, I expect a big game from Reinprecht ;)

Non conference game

Love the West. We need both points, in regulation! Tough week ahead, but time to turn this around.

Did Duco get sent down?

I played Bantam AA with Reinprecht years ago. He was a obviously the best player in the league back then. Good to see him having a great start in Florida.

He was in Edmonton with the Stanley cup (from Colorado Avs) and I ran into him in my condo. The elevator was broken and I took the stairs to get a coffee from the cafe on the main floor of my building.

Reinprecht was walking up the stairs with the Stanley cup. In complete shock, I muttered, “Is that the Stanley Cup.” He replied, “WTF do you think?”

lol

Sick! Shoulda said something like “I didn’t realize the Calder Cup was so large”.

Weiss + Horton = Fantasy Victory :) :) :)

Any word on Booth lately? I haven’t seen much but admittedly haven’t looked too hard.

Let’s stomp some Oilers tonight!!!

Not much…if I recall correctly he has a Christmas-ish target date for return, but don’t bank on it when concussions are involved.

im thinking more like mid jan to end jan because he has not skated he needs conditioning and they shouldnt rush him at this point looks like he might be ready for team usa or not

Ahh, thats a shame, concussions are a nasty business.

Regardless of what you think of the hit it really stings that Booth has been out this long and Richards hasn’t missed any time. I hope he is able to get back and skate with confidence when he is ready. Injuries can be a big mental block to someone’s game too with Carson Palmer of the Bengals being a prime example.

At least the cats are getting something going with Weiss, Horton, Reiny, Frolly, and the Ear-less Wonder. Maybe they can right the ship and maintain some consistency!

What really blows – beyond the immediate impact his team has been denied – is Booth most likely being out of Olympic consideration. He was stoked for it.
