A tough loss for Florida on Sunday, and if the Cats' haven't mentally moved beyond it, they're in big trouble. This is a serious-as-a-heart-attack New Jersey squad, who is 12-3 against the Panthers in the past fifteen. A tall order, which does not get any easier over the next week, staring at Chicago and Boston.

Presumably Tomas Vokoun will get the nod, though he was pulled in his last start against the Devils after giving up two goals on twelve shots. If Scott Clemmensen doesn't start for Jersey - short of Brodeur's return - call it a kidnapping.

What's with Shanny? "Excused"? Didn't want to make the trip? Otherwise, Brodeur is expected at any time, but you have to debate the wisdom in replacing a major component of this club during a hot streak such as they're on. Even with MB.
