DpD's Panthers GAMEDAY

It’s going to be a night for redemption as the Cats will look to quickly forget their loss on Long Island when they play the north of the border Maple Leafs tonight at Maple Leaf Gardens Air Canada Center.

The big story for the Panthers is that the flu-bug has again kidnapped David Booth and will hold him out of tonight’s lineup.  Taking Booth’s place on the Horton-Zednik line will be Kamil Kreps, but for at least the beginning of the game Horton will be taking the face-offs (despite Kreps winning 12 of 16 face-offs against the Islanders).

Zednik left practice early yesterday suffering from back spasms, but will be in the lineup tonight.

In goal for the Cats will be Tomas Vokoun, making his 6th straight start.  He hasn’t had one of his trademark ‘bad games’ in a while, so it may be safe to say that he is back to his regular form.  The Leafs should have Vesa Toskala in goal…he is a solid goaltender who rarely will steal the show but is capable of having a ‘Yan Danis’ type game…but then again, isn’t every NHL goalie?
