the sooner Horton is out of a Panthers jersey, the happier I’ll be. Apparently, the feelings are mutual.
Thought at first it was simply a nice background story, but those comments stuck out. We really shouldn’t read too much into it from a contextual standpoint, but your comment is noted, Stan.

Yea, I mean this quick comment at the end of a story isn’t headline news, for sure. But Bouwmeester feels the same way, I’m sure, but he doesn’t say it out loud. He says, “we’ll wait and see, anything’s possible…” I just don’t see Horton as a pivotal piece of this team, especially with the new coach and new system. He doesn’t appear to be the hard working, grind it out, tenacious forechecker the rest of this team has become. He’s a floater, an opportunist. While he’s found success lately, a lot of that (I think, anyway) is because he’s been skating on a line with Booth, who creates opportunities galore.
But what do I know, lol. He’s making millions for guys who get paid millions to make decisions like this. I get paid nothing to sit and complain about it. Oh well.

That’s the other detail that stood out for me in that story. I mean, I try not to follow it too closely — they’re just kids! — but the more I learn about the Canadian junior system, the more creeped out I get. Thirteen!
