A PREAMBLE

Got to work circa 5:30am - as per usual - and what do I find? Trash that hadn't been emptied? Donuts left out overnight attracting monsters from the nearby swamp? A crashed Robinson R-44? Nope, nope, and nope:

My website had been locked out.

Try as I might, there was no getting in. Off to Mirtle's From the Rink. Works. Puck Daddy? A-ok. Japers' Rink? Good as new. So I'll just log in from another page on The Nation.

The engines wouldn't budge. Sounded pretty conspiratorial: last week YouTube mysteriously disappeared - never to return, and now, The Box was AWOL. Strange poop has been going down the past few months at the office. Had W4E been systematically removed?

Computer issues began cropping up throughout the day, when even run-of-the-millers like Yahoo! and Google began bending over like Johnny Reb at Appomattox.

The story continues tomorrow, cuz even I don't know what's up.

Quickie notes: Panthers D Bryan McCabe will return wearing a full face shield. Anthony Stewart and The Beach will sit (lots of DeBoer love aimed at minus-three Steve Eminger, hmmm?). The Caps lost 5-1 in Atlanta (yes, to the Thrashers) last evening, ending a ten-game point streak for Ovie.
