Someone Tell Me About Frolik

The kid seems to be getting better as the season progresses and I saw somewhere that he got top line minutes at one point, but I don't get to see the Panthers consistently enough to know much about his game.

How high are you on this guy for the future of your team? He seems like he could be a top line guy at some point, but I can't get a read on him and wonder if maybe I'm overrating him on that. Is he a first liner, second liner, franchise guy?

As a season ticket holder, I’ve had the chance to see him close up all season. He has really developed under DeBoer. He’s fast, has great hands, a nose for the net and a quick release on his shot. He’s played a little more gritty as the season has progressed. Part of that is development. Part od that is necessity as teams have been seeking him out and “testing” him lately.

He may not be the top rookie in the league, but he should be in the discussion. If he stays healthy, the Panthers have a legitimate 40 (or more) goal scorer on their hands in the years to come.

good analysis Doc

I think a little more ‘fiestyness’ out of Frolik will go a long way. Otherwise, we could have another Booth ‘out of nowhere-to-top goal scorer’ story on our hands.

Top-two lines. His speed is uncommon, but his strongest asset is his ability to stickhandle. I know it’s cliche, but I’ve said before the player he most closely resembles around the net is Jagr.

Nice.

Like I mentioned, he seems to be getting better as the season goes on, and maybe I’m just still watching for Horton too much (another guy I’ve watched since he was a rook), but I don’t notice him much during games only to see the scoresheet and he’s on it again.
