Florida Panthers Skrastins and Sprukts to represent Latvia in WC

No real news here, as it was expected the Panthers' defenseman and Rochester forward would be shoo-ins to the team.
"Skras" is expected to join the club today. He is currently without a contract in Florida and will be an unrestricted free agent July 1st unless he signs with the Panthers prior.
Partnered almost exclusively with Jay Bouwmeester through the past season, it remains to be seen if GM Jacques Martin has an interest in retaining him, should Bouwmeester leave the organization.
Center Janis Sprukts has been up and down between Rochester and Europe for the club that drafted him 234th overall in 2000. In fourteen games with Florida, Sprukts has one goal and two assists.
