Former Panthers exec Chuck Fletcher named GM of Minnesota Wild
Remember this guy? From the National Post: Fletcher, 41, comes to the Wild from the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he served as assistant GM since July 2006. He's also worked with the Florida Panthers, where he spent nine years, and the Anaheim Ducks, where he spent four seasons. The Harvard graduate is the son of Hockey Hall-of-Famer Cliff Fletcher. Not that the Cats needed any more lessons on offense from the Wild, Fletcher should easily open up the offense and finally bring an upbeat, firewagon brand of hockey to folks in St. Paul ad the outer reaches. Big win for fans of the Wild.
