Florida Panthers' Steve Goldstein keeps it real

Goldiesgang_medium

Panthers television play-by-play man Steve "Goldie" Goldstein will be again hosting this year's "Goldie's Gang" Golf Classic, to be held at the Miccosukee Golf & Country Club in Miami. The event will be held on Friday, June 5th.

From the Gang's home page:

Goldie's Gang is a ...non-profit Charity that sends underprivileged and handicapped children to "live" sporting events and funds youth leagues and clinics.

Goldie's Gang isn't just about giving kids tickets to events.  It's about providing fun, happiness, hope and creating those unforgettable memories to inspire kids, and hopefully help some kids overcome adversities in their lives.

Steve has worked tirelessly on this endeavor for ten years, helping enhance the lives of untold numbers of local children.

For more information on the organization or becoming involved in the golf tournament, here's the link.

A huge round of thanks to Steve and his group of volunteers for performing such wonderful work over the past decade.

Yet one more reason why hockey teams - even indirectly - are so beneficial to their community.
