"It’s a unique chance … to come to a market where the fans care,"
New Montreal coach Jacques Martin during his introductory press conference on Monday.
Thanks for everything, JM.

Gee, Jaques
I think the fans did care in Florida, but only if the team was winning. Just wait til the Habs fans get on your case after dropping 3 in a row. I bet you’ll miss the anonymity of Sunrise then.
Boy that comment makes my blood boil.
Well, I hope being coach in an extreme hockey market is worth it. The fans don’t care my *…….Unfortunatey South Florida doesn’t live, eat, breath hockey like up north, but that doesn’t equate to not caring. Considering this is such a melting pot state of sports and interests, we have a pretty, darn good fan base.
It's hard to care when your team sucks
And who’s responsible for that? Hmm…
In any case, it will make those Panthers-Habs games extra fun.
I’ll put the over\under on Martin’s tenure in Montreal at February, 2010. We’ll see how happy all those Quebecians are that he can speak french come crunch time. At least he’ll be able to explain why his team averages 1.8 goals a game and is 11th in the east at the trade deadline…
He’ll put the entire press room to sleep while explaining it, regardless of the language he chooses.
