which is more surprising? Coyotes ahead of us or Canadiens/Rangers behind us

It’s ESPN…don’t expect it to make any coherent sense. Other than Bucci and Barnaby, who in Bristol has a realistic grasp on the league?

Doesn’t matter in any case: the results are from a poll of fans. Should I have placed quotes around the word “fans”?

given that it is ESPN, it’s more surprising that they even included the NHL in the rankings.

I would be less surprised if it was say, MLB, NFL, NBA and Nascar. Hell, I read this season that even the Little League World Series and Bowling got more coverage than the NHL.

I got it…MLB, NFL, NBA and Poker.

Phil Ivey is ranked 25th overall.

I usually don’t give a whole lot of credence to ESPN, but when it’s interesting and includes the Cats…

ESPN and ABC even televise the National Spelling Bee and I have even seen Scrabble before. And the fact that NASCAR has any relevance in this country is an absolute joke. THEY DRIVE IN A CIRCLE!

I remember once watching ESPN 2 at like 2 AM and they were televising the World Championships of the card game – Magic the Gathering.

Just remember that the reason they don’t televise the NHL anymore is because during the lockout the WSOP got higher ratings.

They’re not The Worldwide Leader in Sports for nothing…or are they?

Aren’t the lines between “sports” and “entertainment” being blurred a bit here? Is the WWE far behind?

Then again, it’s “Entertainment and Sports Programming Network”, so we shouldn’t be surprised that they went all literal in us.
