Panthers' Jacob Markstrom: "diving" his way to fame and glory?

This incident goes back a ways, but it's summer, and this is what we do. That initial "fall" in the crease is not going to be forgotten anytime soon...

The video could be considered a bit harsh, and certainly doesn't represent Team Sweden's view of the event, but hockey's hockey and fans will be fans.

That probably wasnt’ the most glorious moment in his life… He is said to be one of Sweden’s greatest goalie talents though. Well, at least swedes say that…

Lol… I was actually in Canada while the Juniors were going on, Markstrom got plenty of airtime, trust me. I just think the magnitude of the game got into his head, playing in the gold medal game in front of a hostile building, he went a bit overboard, no doubt.

It is no reflection on his goaltending skills though, he was superb throughout the tournament and will be a starter (hopefully for the Panthers) in just a couple years.

That video, btw, is hilarious. Great use of some classic Mighty Ducks footage.

I hope that kid comes in here and becomes the next Martin Brodeur…

Now having said that… That video was flippin’ hilarious! The Benny Hill tune was priceless!

Excellent!!

Awesome video, wish I had seen it earlier. The kid has some great skills in net… and also setting up a great career in acting once his hockey career is over.
