Panthers new third-jersey: found? UPDATED

Hmmm_medium
 Hmmm.

Continuing on the "Where's our third jersey?" search...I may have just found it on the FSN preview here (which does not allow for embedding or screencaps as far as I can tell).

Go about one third of the way in to the video; when Stephen Weiss comes onscreen, look behind him on the far left.

We've heard previously that a light blue would be employed (why I have no idea). Could be a practice sweater but I'm betting against it. Look at it carefully: it has the standard RBK collar and what appears to be a white sleeve.

Maybe I'm seeing things, but I'm guessing we're looking at a strategically-placed new third-jersey, with the home-navy blue on it's right allowing for a tease.

Doesn't match this description from back in March, but that uni very well may have been a mockup.

I'm calling it real. Let the speculation begin...

BTW: the FSN preview show is tonight at 5pm.

UPDATE: Lotsa folks are saying it's studio lighting casting a glow on a home jersey, which it certainly appears may be the case.

UPDATE 2: False alarm, according to those in the know. Helluva way to spend a Saturday.

I don’t know that that’s the third jersey or just a poorly lit background.

Could be a funky blue background light as you said, Joe

Tough call, but why use that one, if it is a practice jersey, with the others? Why not one that matches the others better (like the red)?

Plus, the vertical wavy white striping appears to taper inward toward the lower portion in the video, and contains a black or blue piping element.

…which is similar to the home sweater, minus the light blue (lighting?).

Hopefully your new gig has reasonable hours.

Thankfully, yes! But I’m going to miss the afternoon exhibitions next week. Free for the Opener on Friday, tho.
