Panthers' Leopold named to College Hockey News All-Decade Team
Florida defenseman Jordan Leopold (above, in his Gopher salad days with the University of Minnesota) has been honored with a spot on College Hockey News' All-Decade Team (first squad), joining fellow former collegians Ryan Miller, Matt Carle, Zach Parise, among others.
Leopold, 29, of Golden Valley, Minnesota is a former Hobey Baker award recipient currently in his first season with the Panthers.
Congrats, Jordan!

Having been a Badgers fan for as long as I can remember, I regret to say that I was always impressed at Leopold’s poise with the puck at Minnesota. In fact, when Carle played for Denver, he reminded me of Leopold.

For better or worse, Leo’s always traveled just under the radar. Looking back on his career to this point, it’s a strategy that’s worked rather well.

That’s true, of course: you hardly notice him, which in his case is advantageous. His minus-seven kinda flies in the face of that, though.
