Around SBN: The Gift Of The 2003 Tigers

From Greg @ Puck Daddy:

He has 41 giveaways, which is in line with Dan Boyle (42) and fewer than Green (47). He's the team leader in EV ice time (19:18), shorthanded ice time (3:58) and third in power-play ice time (3:06). His plus-9 leads the team, as does his plus-6 against divisional foes.

Any in-depth view reveals a solid but completely unspectacular season from Bouwmeester, but views of big-money free agents usually are about has deep as a Ryan Seacrest monologue.

Just couldn’t wait eh? HAHA.

I’m no fancy hockey writer, but it’s safe to say that pretty much everyone who got to see Jay play on a regular basis pretty much called this.

No doubts about that, HO.

I’m sure a Jokinen-themed post is coming soon.

so does this mean we actually weren’t so stupid to let him go?

ever since the first game after the deadline last season, i have grown to despise this guy. while i can’t blame him for the reasons he wanted out of here (all true and if they really matter to him then he had every right to leave), the way he handled it was pure garbage. and then to come out and play like the team had no shot at the playoffs for the rest of the season put the fork in him for me. i feel as though i’ve been crowing about this regarding JayBo for quite some time now, always talking about how he doesn’t ever really make his presence felt in any game and that he is perhaps HIGHLY overrated. in fact, Wysh quotes Ken Campbell’s critiques, which oddly enough mirror my problems with JayBo to the tee.

can’t wait til next week when the Falling Flames come calling…JayBo should love his reception.

FINALLY!

I have always hated disliked him. From the moment we drafted him I’ve said we should have taken Nash. I just couldn’t understand what everyone else saw in him. I took so much crap from all my friends when I would trash him during games. I’m usually a big homer, but not with Bo. The only other Panther that I’ve ever disliked is Chris Wells.

There’s a lot of Jay Bo trash talk up in the bitter and cynical section. We generally refer to him as “Marshmallow.” DeBoer made a huge mistake playing him after that first post-deadline game. He should have swallowed his pride, benched Jay and put Nick Boynton back out there, head case or no. But I said that last year, too and where did it get me?
