David Booth returns to Panthers lineup Sunday vs. Islanders

Boothback_eblast_medium

Your computer screen does not need adjustment, this is in fact real.  While it felt for weeks like this was never going to happen, the time has finally come.  The Panthers leading goal scorer from last year will finally return after missing 45 of the Panthers 54 games this season. David Booth is BACK!!!

Not sure what else to say, so I'm going to go back to doing cartwheels in my living room.  GO CATS GO!!

good for the Cats

Like Booth as a player quite a bit and hated to see him go down like that.

This is great news

Well, it;s good to see and I certainly hope that he’s ready and not rushing things.
I would hope that his ice time and energy is monitored and that they don’t give him 18-20 minutes if he’s not ready.

He could be just the boost they need!

I forgot to mention

Olympics for Booth seems much more likely now that he’ll have a few weeks to get back into game shape. Great for Booth and for the Panthers, as when he returns he’ll be in that much better game-shape for the final push.

While I worry about Vokoun getting fatigued from playing through the Olympics, Booth could actually benefit from some Olympic hockey. Any time he can get playing at a high tempo will just get him back in form that much quicker. Gotta try to keep expectations low for the first few games, but it should definitely provide a boost… so to speak.

BOOTH!

This is great news. Good for Panther’s fans and hockey in general. And good for him. Think he’ll be eased in? Oh, and good for fantasy teams, too, eh?

The Panthers do it again.

It’s only because they heard I was thinking about skipping tomorrow’s game.

In all seriousness, I hope it’s because he’s really ready to go and not because they’re desperate for offense. I guess we’ll see tomorrow.

Wonder how much impact Horton getting injured had on the coaching staff “asking very politely” for Booth to come back before the break, or if Booth was ready regardless.

the same thought crossed my mind but i didn’t let the cynicism win out. if Booth says he’s ready, he’s ready.

Can’t believe there be any correlation. An honest question tho.
