It was all T-Vo on a Sunday afternoon in Sunrise as the netminder made his 15th straight start, stopping 33 New York shots en route to a 38th career shutout.
Vokoun wraps up January with an 8-4-2 record (4 SO). The importance of this man cannot be overstated on a team which has scored nine goals over their past seven games.
As for skaters, it was a defenseman's paradise featuring goals by Keith Ballard and Jordan Leopold; the blueliners trailed Florida's forwards by one SOG (13-12).
Michael Frolik had 2 assists.
The night was significant for the return of winger David Booth, who collected an assist and 3 shots. BankAtlantic Center did not lack in "Booooooooooth" chants, nor in effort or energy. He looked terrific.
The Isles' Rick DiPietro made 23 saves.
Back into the playoff mix. Keep an eye on the Rangers and Avs at 8.

This loss sucked for me, but I must say it was nice to see Booth back. And my, for a guy who missed as much time as he did, he looked fantastic.
Lighthouse Hockey: Under contract through 2021, knees and hips be damned.
Seriously, I expected him to be moving a lot slower, maybe not going into the corners so much. No, he looked good. Maybe a touch slower in the third, but it doesn’t look now like they rushed him out there. We’ll how see he looks in the back-to-back tomorrow.
Speaking of: what are the odds on Clemmensen starting tomorrow. And will Jason Garrison be on a late flight after the Amerks game against the Phantoms? These questions and more answered tomorrow…

He definitely looked like he benefited from the extra time off he had to recover. Keep your eyes on march 3rd, philly comes to town, and maybe David gets a little payback.
