Unfamiliar with hometown draws, Nathan Horton and Gregory Campbell look forward to Thursday
Gregory Campbell and Nathan Horton talk about the crowds (or lack thereof) in South Florida. Why do I get the feeling the Northeast media loves to hear these kinds of things?

Golden find, Cheap.
The money line:
The fans didn’t come to see them at home, so the two players had to use the crowds of other teams if they wanted to get any sense of a fan base.

Nice
I love the comments. They’re all by Panthers fans busting on Horton.
Florida Panthers: Giving the league a punching bag since 2000.
Thanks for pointing that out, JB…I didn’t bother the first time around.

And no, Horts/Soup didn’t take any cheap shots aimed directly at the organization or fans, only that the club has been in a consistently stagnant mode resulting in a disenchanted fanbase. Realistic.
Actually hearing hockey players speak their minds is rather refreshing, short of Avery-style juvenilism. We saw it with Weiss after ConfettiGate, and who wasn’t blown away upon learning a human being was in that uniform?

Yes, realistic, but it’s a broken record. And while the criticism of the fanbase is justified, so is the criticism of him. I don’t blame Panther fans for not shelling out cash to watch the efforts that he and some of his teammates laid on the ice. I haven’t seen the Panthers win a game in person in eight years – EIGHT! – and saw several of the nights he took off over the years. He can say that the team didn’t win, and I’ll agree that some of the teams were lacking, but he was a part of that team and a LOT of people have questioned his effort. Glass houses, stones, kettles, pots and all.
I think it’s time for him to politely sidestep those questions and move on.
I'll second that...
It’s just refreshing to see a Panther team that puts in 60 min. of hard work every game…Something HORTON wouldn’t know anything about!
+1
