The ASG frankly puts me to sleep no matter how the format is juiced (bring on the Skills Competition and leave it at that), but being on the ballot remains an honor and - perhaps more importantly - a resume-pumper for players who manage to squeak onto the roster among the annual regulars. It's been two seasons since the last such event, placed on hiatus due to February's Winter Olympic Games, so this may be the only opportunity for a member of the Panthers to get some international love for quite some time.
