Panthers send Michal Repik and Mathieu Roy to Rochester
From OurSportsCentral:
Florida reassigned Roy to Rochester after acquiring him on Wednesday from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for forward Matt Rust. Roy, 26, started the season in the National Hockey League and played in 32 games with Columbus, collecting 10 assists. He has also spent 14 games in the American Hockey League with the Syracuse Crunch. The St. Georges, Quebec, native has registered four assists with the Crunch this season.

At least Repik should be able to get a nice little vacation this summer with his frequent flyer miles. I still don’t understand why he isn’t given a shot at more ice time… I know we’re paying Kreps, Campbell, Tarnasky and Co. more money, but why not healthy scratch them the final 10-15 games and let Repik get an honest chance instead of just 4 minutes a game 3 or 4 times a month…
May have answered your own – excellent – question.

Could it be a size issue? He’s listed at a mere 5’10" – 180
Anyway, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened. :)
I heard this on a TV broadcast when I was growing up and I think it’s applicable here:
“You know how it is. They call a player up from the minors, sit him on the end of the bench for 4 or 5 games, then the coach takes him aside and says “sorry- but you haven’t been putting up any points and we have to send you back to the minors.”"
