I know its probably not the right frame of mind to be in, but how much do you think Sexton cares that there are a couple “veterans” who can’t play in Rochester because of the AHL veteran rule? So there are 3 guys that can’t play every night in the AHL… granted they are a team and they have their playoffs and all that stuff, I’m not trying to diminish it. I just find it hard to imagine Sexton saying no to a deal that unloads their multi-million dollar pending FA’s because the other team wants to send a minor league “NHL veteran”…
Sexton: “Byron Bitz is an instant 2nd liner for us, PLUS a 2nd round draft pick, but they had to throw in that Craig Weller character… I’m gonna have to pass”
I believe Craig Weller was loaned to Chicago (Wolves). He was never even sent to Rochacha.
