Of course...

…after the concussions, we’ll call Booth’s contract a five year deal.

Maybe less, depending on how Booth holds up.

Kulikov just fell to the panthers. not much of a move there.
My vote goes to the 2nd round picks for what were essentially rentals and could have been walking at the end of the season.

Kulikov just fell to the panthers.

There is some truth to that.

That’s true to a point. He was projected to go a lot higher, but teams were spooked by his KHL contract. He should have gone around 5-6. The Panthers were willing to take the gamble on him and then they got his contract situation resolved and him on the ice for the season opener. That was a lot bolder and a lot more work than one would think. It wasn’t a no-brainer move.

Signing Booth to a decent multi-year contract. That was an obvious move.

And I should have clarified...

…On the first choice it was a “something (ultimately Birkholz and a ’10 2nd-rounder) for nothing (JayBo)” deal.

Cats certainly have a chance to profit from it; the second rounder is nice, and Birkholz is a prime prospect.

Woohoo! I was the 100th voter!

But on a serious note, I feel Randy Sexton did quite well, for his short time here. I really have no complaints on his job as acting GM & eventually GM.
