Congrats to Blackhawks, Flyers on remarkable Stanley Cup Final
A great series with a predictably bizarre finish, but the best team won a terrific playoff season. Catch all the analysis and reaction at the rather jubilant Second City Hockey and just-short-of-jubilant Broad Street Hockey. Keep an eye open for Dale Tallon's name to be tossed out quite a bit over the next few days.
So...does Chicago repeat? And are Philadelphia's chances of returning to the SCF even reasonable? How about which 'Hawks may be Panthers by Training Camp, or the reverse?
Stay tuned as we gear up for the NHL Entry Draft on June 25th and 26th. Anyone heading to one of the two draft parties?

Who doesn’t love JR? Guy’s a legend.

I felt so bad for JR last night. He’s my all-time favorite player and I’m still pissed at the Flyers for trading him.
As for the rest, I know it’s not a popular opinion around here, but I was excited the Flyers made the final. It’s well-known in the Bitter & Cynical Section that I’m a Flyers fan. I got the chance to go to game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final and I had a blast (that it was a 6-0 shellacking of Montreal certainly helped there). I wish games in our arena were that much fun.

I watched the series with a few Flyer fans and we stepped away from the tv to play some fooseball after the kane goal.
When I stepped back to the tv I saw that JR was crying so we had to rewind it to whatever started the tears. We couldn’t help but crack up when he said “Chicago Blackhawks Man” and then the other dude cutting in and saying “you don’t have to cry about it” LOL.
Also, I was secretly rooting for the Flyers too. Hartnell, Leino, and Richards were a lot of fun to watch.
Milbury didn’t quite say that if I recall correctly, but stole a nice moment from JR. Just my two cents.

Chicago-Florida trades
Given Chicago’s cap issues, I can’t see any of our big problems going there. Nor could I see someone like Horton going. The Blackhawks might dump salary, though, if they need to. Maybe someone like Bolland or Versteeg for a pick, prospect and someone like Koistenen that they can send to the minors.
That said, I wouldn’t mind seeing Patrick Sharp here. I imagine it’s possible a salary dump could be Sharp or Bolland for Frolik, a pick and a prospect. That’s about as far as I’m willing to go right now.

Gonna throw out Bergeron for Horton again, with all of its’ complexities.
