Off the market: Seidenberg inks with Bruins

Defenseman Dennis Seidenberg - a surprising fan favorite in his short stay with the Panthers - has parlayed a solid season into a nice raise with security.

One of former GM Randy Sexton's shrewder (is that even a word?) moves a year ago, Seids was signed to a one-year, $2.25M deal by the Cats just prior to the 2009-10 season. Recording 23 points (2 goals) in 62 games for Florida, Sexton shuffled him to Boston at the trade deadline for a number of assets, including a prized second-round pick in this year's draft. A late-season injury knocked the otherwise rugged D-man out of the playoffs.

Best of luck, Dennis...many of us would loved to have seen you back in Sunrise; your character and effort made quite the positive impression among Pather fans.

Wishing him the best of luck. I enjoyed his style of play, while with the Panthers.
