Question about Panthers VHS on Amazon

Ola!

Just wondering if any of you guys have got/seen the Panthers VHS 'Heart & Soul 1993 - 1994 Florida Panthers Inaugural Season'

I love owning sports videos and dvds, but this is the only one I can find of the Panthers. Personally I'd like to find one of the 1996 season but no such luck.

(Btw, that is something I don't quite get about US sports fans... here in England we love our season review dvds. It doesn't matter if your team wins the championship or finishes mid-table, there'll be a DVD released with highlights of every game. That's about the only merchandise apart from a jersey I ever buy! Any ideas why that isn't popular in the States??)

Anyway, hopefully some of you will be able to help me out. Cheers in advance!

Nice idea, LD. I’ll do some poking around as well and see if anything turns up.

Perhaps it’s uniquely American, but there doesn’t appear to be much local demand for a review of any of the Panthers’ previous ten seasons. Sure, there are things I’d like to see memorialized – can’t think of any offhand, but still – the video would lose any steam around the time it got to covering February.

Throwing out a guess here but it’s unlikely a losing club wishes to finance production of such an item which may sell only in the hundreds (and realistically that’s an extremely generous estimate. The hardcores simply don’t have the numbers to make it feasible.

Hard to believe they woudn’t have cashed in on ’96, though.

Come to think of it, I would love to have a DVD of the 96 season, all but the last game. NHL Network has been doing the “Raising the Cup” series recently and had Colorado and Florida on the other night. I didn’t watch it because frankly it just felt too painful.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Yeah makes sense it probably wouldn’t be too profitable. It seems to have only been the last few years that even championship-winning teams have released dvds. And even then you rarely see them in the club shops.

I guess I’m weird, I like torturing myself with all my crappy sports teams. I’ve got season reviews on video of my local soccer club here in England where we win like 10 games out of 40, absolute garbage. We must be sadists over here!

If anyone does see or hear anything in the future re: Panthers please let me know!!
