Caterwaul: Panthers announce roster for Tuesday game vs Carolina
We'll see, er, we'll hear, um, uh...any clairvoyants among us?
The non-traditional hockey deities have struck again, this time not broadcasting tonight's game from Raleigh via radio from either club. Should have figured such would be the result when even the 2006 Stanley Cup Champions will have fewer regular season television broadcasts this year than Florida. Only in hockey.
That all being said, we'll promote a link to On Frozen Pond's open thread/live chat close to the 7pm start time; this was a fun and effective method of communication during preseasons over the past couple of years when radio and television were not options. So do join us as GR narrates the action. Or something.
We'll of course be holding traditional LBC open threads during every game of the regular season; already finished the header graphic. Stoked, I be.
Onward: the Sun-Sentinel's HarveyX was kind enough to post up the Panthers' roster for this evening's match against the Hurricanes, which reads as follows:
Forwards: Tyler Arnason, Steve Bernier, Evgeni Dadonov, Mike Duco, Michael Grabner, Triston Grant, Quinton Howden, Shawn Matthias, Rostislav Olesz, Michal Repik, Michael Santorelli, Scott Timmins
Defense: Joe Callahan, Keaton Ellerby, Jason Garrison, Erik Gudbranson, Nathan Paetsch, Mike Weaver
Goal: Scott Clemmensen, Jacob Markstrom
Evidently, coach Peter DeBoer and friend/rival Paul Maurice agreed to go with youth on at least this night, so Carolina's lineup should reflect the above philosophy. Also looks increasingly likely that Hurricanes' first round selection ('10) Jeff Skinner will be signed and in uniform as well.
Teh floor is open...

Wish I could see this
That’s an interesting lineup. By the time they’re back here next week, I’m betting most of that team is cut. Ah, well, such is the pre-season.
Florida Panthers: Giving the league a punching bag since 2000.
Agreed. Join us tonight, Johnny.

Thanks Tyler. I poked around that site earlier but nothing stood out. Good find. If it does indeed go live we’ll post it up along with a link to OFP.

The broadcast schedule lists “ESPN Triangle” at 7pm tonight. Whether that means the Hurricanes or not I’m unclear. We’ll give it a whirl at that time and see.

hey all….i know i’ve been gone all summer, but i’m back with the Cats. nice to be getting under way with this new and totally lacking expectations season. they’re not televising it in Carolina tonight?
Less than a month til opening night…..and we dont really have any idea what to expect from this team. That’s exciting!
Welcome back, Jeff. No TV anywhere (too much to ask for a streamed in-house feed?).
