An exceptional evening for the franchise, as the Cats play a long-overdue exhibition match from western New York - home of Florida's AHL affiliate Rochester Americans. Our buddy Keith from Lets Go Amerks! is on the ground at Blue Cross Arena, so we'll check in with him throughout the evening for first-hand observations, scouting reports, and snacks & things. Or maybe we won't...kind of a big night for hockey fans up there.

Unfortunately, we'll have to wait for Saturday to potentially see former Panthers Nathan Horton, Dennis Seidenberg, and Gregory Campbell; only Dennis Wideman will be facing off against his former club. In the nets, Nolan Shaefer will be backed up by Tuukka Rask, while Tomas Vokoun and Tyler Plante will share duties for Florida. 18 year-old defenseman Erik Gudbranson gets a second straight appearance.

Word on the street has there being no television (duh) nor even radio offered up.
