As reported any number of ways since Friday afternoon (well, here and here), coach Peter DeBoer has decided to pull double duty for Scott Clemmensen, fresh off a 3-2 victory against Tomas Vokoun's former club. Clemmer will start against the New Jersey Devils, winners of two straight over the suddenly-human Tampa Bay Lightning.
Clemmensen - a rather-successful fill-in for an injured Martin Brodeur only two seasons ago - is 2-0 (2.00, .944) versus his ex-employer. Assumed starter Tomas Vokoun - he of the $6.3M salary and alleged contract-renegotiation talks via GM Dale Tallon - is 5-6 with two shutouts and 2.40/.923 lifetime over Luscious Lou's underachievers.
