Around SBN: Yankees Deny Rumors That Team Is For Sale

Dale Tallons Big Head

DALE TALLON and the rest of the PANTHERS MANAGEMENT have you no shame?

Dale says he wants in a few years to have a team entirely culled from the draft. I am and my friends are season ticket holders who are not kissing your behind. Be happy we are too disgusted to show up at your town hall meetings. The blueprint for success is just another way to keep a substandard team on the ice for years to come. If you are being run as a business loss for some wealthy investors why dont you come right out and say it?

We are told you are marketing to fans of our rivals due to "economics" Here is a stunning thought:  PUT A WINNING TEAM ON THE ICE AND YOU WILL SELL TICKETS AND MERCHANDISE!   Nine bucks a beer is not the answer.

When I say I speak for all season ticket holders listen carefully  If walking up to the rink I can buy in the first few rows at ten bucks each from scalpers why am I a season ticket holder. Buyers remorse in a big way. Ironic how last week we got our season ticket renewal packages in the midst of the worst of the bad losses.

Do this

If a foward cant score 25 goals a season replace him

If a defenseman has a lousy plus/minus rating replace him

If a players slump continues replace him

If you have forgotten what hockey looks like get center ice and watch other teams. They do full hard body checks every opportunity. They shoot the puck more and skate faster.Thats why we loose. If you are ahead 2 zip with moments to go,put out guys like Darcy Hordichuk not the pussy squad. If you have a foward who scores dont trade him away. WAtching ex cat Dominic Moore sink us in OT is heartbreaking.

Our division now has Atlanta with ex Stanley Cup winning Blackhawks,Tampa with Stamkos the highest scorer in the league and Ovechkin in Washington always trouble. Our division has toughened up considerably and you put in place a plan to keep us weaker for years to come?

What you are doing isnt working so change it. We want to win now.!!!

Star-divide

DALE TALLON and the rest of the PANTHERS managment have you no shame??

We are told you are marketing to fans of our rivals due to"economics". Here is a stunning thought  IF YOU PUT A WINNING TEAM ON THE ICE YOU WILL SELL SEATS and MERCHANDISE.

Scouting?? if a foward cant score 25 goals or more get rid of him and replace him with someone who can. If a defenseman has a lousy plus/minus get rid of him. PEROID

I speak for all season ticket holders when I say this.  Walking up to the rink I get offers for lower bowl seats better than mine for ten bucks or less. Ironic that last week we got our renewal packages in the mail.

If you have forgotten what hockey is supposed to look like get NHL Center Ice and watch some of the leading teams. They check HARD,skate fast and shoot the puck. If you are ahead 2 zero with 2 minutes to go,put out Darcy Hordichuck and those that are aggresive ,not the pussy squad.Pete didnt learn that and thats exactly how we lost the next few in the end.

If you get a foward who scores KEEP HIM. It was hard to watch ex Panther Dominic Moore sink us in OT.

Its bad enough Tampa has St Louis and now the league leading scorer Stamkos. Atlanta now now has ex Stanley cup winning blackhawks. our division is getting tougher and we YOU put in a 5 year plan to be weaker??

Lets keep this simple. What you are doing isnt working and we want to win NOW. Do something positive for a change.

Build a winning team.

We all want a winning team, but this is no fairy tale where we have magical wishes. There is two ways to build a winning team; the draft or trades.

Look at two teams; the panthers and the leafs. The panthers choose the draft route, while the leafs have decided to go with trades. Honestly which team would you choose to cheer for?

Darcy is definitely not the answer to stop the blow leads. He is what he is a tough guy.

Understand the frustration but...

…honestly the title alone very likely has already turned off anyone with the club from reading this.

Agreed. To be taken seriously, you have to sound less like the guy holding a torch and pitchfork.

Actually, I’d say this guy sounds less like the holding a torch and pitchfork type. I’d go with either grenades or malatov cocktails.

Seriously, it’s hard to blame Tallon for walking into a barn and finding horsesh*t everywhere. I don’t want to trust management either – but things have no way to improve if you don’t at least let him TRY. And believe it or not, Yormark is not the problem. I don’t agree with the man’s decisions all the time, but that arena is a major-league cash cow for SSE and improving the Panthers will only bring more profit. The problem is he somehow was entrusted with some say in the hockey product, which is how we get Jetblue-flavored sweaters.

Having a title as yours, doesn't help ANYTHING

A winning, everlasting team doesn’t happen overnight & you can’t expect Tallon to do that. When Tallon came on, no one expected an immediate playoff contention team. The team that won the Stanley Cup in 2010 was NOT built overnight.

I understand fans are frustrated, but this team is in a rebuild phase, like it or not.

Dale Tallon is NOT the one catering to the opposing team fan…..take THAT gripe to Yormark, thank you!

You mention Stamkos….Tampa has him because they SUCKED & got him in the draft. Now, they are reaping that benefit a couple of years later….NOT immediately.

Replacing forwards/defensemen is not as simple of getting “rid” of them. Contracts come into play.

Tallon has nothing to do with how the team is coached. Obviously if DeBoer doesn’t coach the team properly, then he will be replaced. DeBoer is walking a thin rope……..this may be his last year, if he makes it that long.

And, going in accordance to your repetitiveness….NOTHING happens overnight.

Wow

I really want to try providing a rebuttal to all your points, but I’m not sure I’d be able to express myself monosyllabically enough to where you could understand me.

A couple of bullet points though:
1. Not every forward in the NHL is going to, is capable of, or needs to score 25 goals a year.

2. Plus/Minus isn’t always a great measure of defensive ability.

3. Darcy Hordichuk isn’t a great defensive forward that you want out on the ice protecting a lead late in the game.

gee I seem to think Tallon has already proved himself at this point

Gypsy! Give me your tears! If you will not give them to me, I will take them from you!
