HNIC and NHLPA Player Poll - Florida Results

CBC's Hockey Night in Canada and the NHLPA conducted a poll of 300+ NHL players. Many interesting questions were asked, and many of the posted results are relevant to the Florida Panthers. While not all of the data is posted, the top 5 answers are. LBC collected the relevant data and posted it for your viewing pleasure.

Star-divide

What team would you least like to play on? Florida Panthers: 2% (5th)

What rink has the worst ice? Bank Atlantic Center: 20% (1st)

Which rink has the worst boards/glass? Bank Atlantic Center: 5% (5th)

Despite the turnaround by ownership, management and the players this poll shows that there is still much work to do and a lot of the minds of the players that need to be changed for Florida to become an elite organization.

Interesting on the worst-ice thing…always thought ATL had a bad rep.

Other results

I was glad that DeBoer wasn’t mentioned in the worst coach results, and a bit surprised that Weiss wasn’t named as an underrated player.

DeBoer’s under the radar; be surprised if 50% of league’s players even know he’s the guy down here.

ouch. but let’s remember that when were the last time that the Hawks played at Bank Atlantic Center. The all star team was filled with western conference team players…I actually think that the ice has improved this year from looking at the TV .

Our ice is atrocious. Improved? I guess, but it’s still terrible.

As far as what team players would like to play on least, we beat the leafs. I think that 2% is pretty insignificant, would have thought it would be higher than 2% though.
