Florida Panthers Prospect Roundup: October 21, 2011

Another week of games, another roundup. The Rampage are off to a great start, the ECHL season gets underway, the Saginaw Spirit get their own one-two punch, and Minnesota receives a big boost from two Panthers prospects. Find out more after the jump.

San Antonio Rampage (AHL)

3-1-0, 6 Points, 1st Place West Division (2-1-0 during the week)
Goals for 13, Goals Against 11

The Rampage played three games this week, and are currently tied with the Oklahoma City Barons and Abbotsford Heat for first place in the West Division with six points. The Rampage suffered their first loss of the season with a 3-2 loss to the Oklahoma City Baron, Bracken Kearns and Scott Timmins were San Antonio's goal scores. The Rampage went on the road for the first time, where they faced off against the Western Conference champion, Houston Aeros. San Antonio would win 4-3 in a shootout that lasted 11 rounds. Mike Kostka, Evgeny Dadonov, and Kearns were the goal scorers. The Rampage finished off the week with a 4-3 win over intrastate rival Texas. Timmins scored twice, with Michal Repik and former Texas Star Greg Rallo as the other scorers.

Hasn’t made a difference for Radulov playing in USA or Morozov. Radulov would almost be guaranteed a top six, if not a top line role in Nashville, yet he’s playing in Russia. The money is just as good there, but tax free, so it really pays for them to play at home.

Add another one for Rau. Finished off a nifty play with a good patient move around the goalie. Minnesota has been dominant early on this season, top offense in the nation.

Nice to see more than a handful of guys at all levels averaging a point a game or better.
