These guys will either figure out a way to do it, or we'll find others who will. I'm committed to this. If I have to move here and buy a home, I'll do it. They deserve a winner [in San Antonio].

Santos is gonna eventually land himself a head GM gig. Guy’s money.

Also, some really tough games tonight when choosing who to root for. Is it just me, or is the conference a lot tighter than usual?

Just our luck. The season we’re actually doing well, so is most of the East.

It’s still early and the Panthers are still in the race for the division title, which is what’s important. The EC is tight, but it’s a few more weeks before teams (not named the Penguins) really start to peel off from the pack. Seriously, if the Panthers can keep up with or pass the Capitals, they need not worry what the rest of the standings are.

I stand by my opinion that Santos was essentially hired to be the GM in waiting here. Help Dale with the rebuild the first couple years, then Dale will get Bill Torrey’s job and Santos will get to carry the torch. He’s got the top prospect pool in the NHL, and the most money in free agency – that’s like giving someone Boardwalk and Park Place to start a monopoly game.

I hate these catch 22 matchups. Dare I say tonight is a must win (again)?

Tonight’s a must win only because of the home loss on Sunday. It’s all about keeping the pace. And occasionally about beating the teams in front of you and the ones right behind.

root for the Jets people. Panthers simplest path to the playoffs is an off regular season for the Caps and a Southeastern Division crown.

by Todd Little on Nov 17, 2011 11:20 AM EST reply actions

actually tonight’s game are pretty easy to figure out who to root for.

I’m pulling for:

Jets over Caps
Pit over Tampa
Col over Bos
NYI over Mtl
Phx over Phi
Nas over Tor
Edm over Otw

4 West vs East games – Go West!

by Todd Little on Nov 17, 2011 11:25 AM EST reply actions

That’s how I see it.

Gotta give the Jets some (temporary) love. Need them to take the Caps out in regulation so that we take over first in the S.E.

Mike Santos.. a man who expects San Antonio to pull their socks up and put their big girl boy pants on. Makes me swoon. Kobayashi Maru man for sure, find him a good apple someone stat!
I’m cheering for the Islanders, Phx, Nas, Edm (sorry Crook), Col. I will not cheer for but be content with Caps getting the L and Tampa too!

I hereby predict Captain Mike Weaver #43 will score 6G 20A -RCR 0G7A 11/16

Santos is a seriously awesome dude. I really like him and his “whatever-it-takes” attitude is exactly the kind of mentality that our team and the Rampage need.

Ugh… I cant bring myself to say it, at all…

So all Im going to say is that I hope the cats have sole possession of 1st in the division after tonight.

Aside from the advertisements all over South Florida pushing the “We See Red” theme and the renovations to the BankAtlantic Center, the atmosphere in the crowd has been different and according to Garrison, the players have noticed.

“I think they’re really trying to turn things around and create a winning atmosphere. I think it’s working.”

“You can definitely feel the difference.”

The Blues will be tough to beat now that the fatman is in charge. Hope for a tight game, maybe goes to a shootout and FLA can take the win

Washington will paste Winnipeg

Edmonton – Ottawa should have the most fighting majors. Looks good on paper anyway, esp if Ben Eager plays

You;re tugging my junk, right?

a game from October 27th, which was a bit of a fluke and looked more like a football score than something you’d see in hockey?

Winnipeg is not very good right now. The last game vs Tampa was nice, otherwise they’ve been a disaster. Even the so called hockey nuts in Manitoba are booing the home team these days. I think that will continue tonight – can’t see the Caps losing two in a row

It doesn’t matter what date the game was, it could happen on any given night. Whether it be Winnipeg, Florida, Columbus whoever.. Point is don’t go claiming Washington is the winner ahead of time, especially when we NEED them to lose.

Jets aren’t that bad when they stay out of the penalty box and actually play a little D

Ellerby is getting his way again. I’d rather see Guds out there.

Someone get injured already, hit the links in a little rascal and let Guds get back where he belongs – on the ice
