Contact with the head...
was a result of the shoulder check to begin with i think. and can we all agree that hell its only richards?
If Richards’ hit on Booth was legal than this was a tea party at the 4 o’ clock hour.

It was legal, at the time. By the new rules, its not. How long ago was that now? People need to get over it. Neither plays for the same team anymore.

Being also that Richards’ also has a history of less than legal play, it’s not just Booth.

I disagree….it is still legal, by today’s rules…the head was NOT the primary point of contact or the target. And by the way, I take exception for you telling people to “get over it”. That was a brutal hit & as far as I’m concerned a direct result in Booth’s play thereafter.
I don’t care if Richards is no longer on the Flyers…he is STILL a punk. He has shown that during this last playoff series.
Okay, I just realized you were referring to the Booth/Richards hit & not last night’s hit. I don’t agree that it was legal, just because his skates were still on the ice, at the point of impact to the head. He slightly crouched & went upward & continued upwards, after the hit.
But, I stand by the rest of my statement above.

How is this even a question? Bergie's shoulder hit Richards head and that was it.
Did Bergie elevate the blow? NOPE
Did Bergie extend the blow? NO SIR
Did Bergie target the just the head? NO it was a full body check. Should the NHL fine a guy for not being 3 inches shorter?
Did Bergie have a prior incentive to head hunt Richards? NONE that I can see. Bergie wasn’t on this team when Booth got blindsided by Richards so any correlation there is invalid.
Move along, nothing to see here.
NY Jets = NFL's Chicago Cubs
There's a fine line between hopeful and desperate. Just look @ Jets fans.

on top of that, he handled the rest of the game like a champ. receiving cheap shots throughout the game and hard checks. he just skated off the checks and continued to make strong plays without retaliating or taking any bad penalties.

That check was as legal as they come. He didn’t elevate, extend or really initiate the hit. He was kind of there – and protected himself.
It was body contact first that involved the head… the head wasnt the main point of contact, therefore it is a 100% legal hit according to the rules.

Here’s a better link for you, direct from the team AND in English. A lot of the KHL teams are starting to do English versions of their websites.
Today Ak Bars signed Niklas Bergfors, 24 years old swedish forward. Niklas will wear jersey number 62 for Ak Bars.
During his career he played for Sodertalje (Sweden), Albany River Rats (USA), Lowell Devils (USA), New Jersey Devils (USA), Atlanta Thrashers (USA), Florida Panthers (USA), Nashville Predators (USA).
He won the Bronze medal of the IIHF U-18 World Championship in 205.
205? So the Swedes invented hockey 1800 years ago?
Immediately after they invented meatballs, an invention sometimes taken by the Italians. It however came years before they discovered the secrets to modular wooden furniture.

Richards is an Ahole !
Talk about getting what you deserve !!! That POS Richards has given out many many much more serious cheap shots than that. His look of disbelief was priceless … loved it !!
BTW Mickey …. it was a clean check all the way. If BS gives a suspension for that …. after letting the Joslin hit go …. then he should be fired immediately !

that look of disbelief could have possible been a concussion. He looked pretty dazed for a few seconds.
Official: No supplimentary discipline.
