Florida Panthers at Ottawa Senators - Game 35 Preview
Florida: 18-10-6 (42PTS)
Ottawa: 16-14-4 (36PTS)
Season Series: 0-1-0
Game Time: 7:30 PM EST
Television: Fox Sports Florida, Sportsnet Ottawa
Radio: 560 WQAM
The Panthers are on a quick pre-Christmas two-game road trip. Both games are against teams that will be in the Panthers' new conference starting next season: the Ottawa Senators and Boston Bruins. The Panthers have not been good against the Senators. The Sens swept the last season series and are 40-24-3-2 against the Panthers all time. The Cats added to their string of injuries this week, losing both Marco Sturm and Mikael Samuelsson in Tuesday's game against the Coyotes. The Panthers still hold a seven point lead for the division, but have only won five of their last ten games.

Note: the “assumption” on the starting goaltenders was my own; so don’t beat up Johnny if it turns out otherwise :)

Anderson is confirmed. You can use this, as they’re pretty good with who they have starting usually.
GREAT link
thanks for sharing it!

Quite likely, though the Panthers are pretty terrible against the Sens. But then, would you really want to put the backup in against either of Boston’s goalies?

I reckon you guys would prefer an Auld friend to start against the Cats?

The only good thing about the injuries is that it gives Repik and Dadanov yet another chance to prove that that can play in the NHL. Hopefully Santorelli picks up his game as this is a big one for him to.
Hopefully Dadanov gets ice time. Real ice time.

He’s going to have to. If they’re playing 7 D, then they’re only going to be running three lines. Guessing it’s Bradley-Kennedy-Dadonov on the third. And then Repik and either Santorelli or Barch as the extras, depending on how coach is feeling about Santorelli today.
Or maybe they’ll go Repik-Kennedy-Dadonov on the third and have Bradley and Santorelli play special teams and Barch sits. That wouldn’t be horrible. Even though Santorelli’s been playing on the fourth line, he’s still been playing late in powerplays.

Newbie asks..
Im a new "cat" here to the Litter Box.. Big Talon fan over the years and love what hes doing with this Panthers team. One thing though. Seems early word on Panthers starting goalies for the evenings games is a little sparse. Isnt there usually a go to guy who catches the daily skate/practice and relays the info ?
Welcome :)
Dineen is becoming notorious for keeping quiet – at least officially – about his starter.
Typically the Sun-Sentinel and Miami Herald beat writers are in attendance at practices, but unless Dineen spills it, nothing is official.

Coach Dineen is notoriously evasive unless he has a reason to announce a goalie. The press guys usually guess after watching the skate, but they’ve been running a lot of optional skates the last week or so since everyone’s so banged up. That probably won’t change much until after New Year’s Eve, when they have a four day break. Then, they’ll probably go back to a regular practice/skate schedule.

Dineen likes to keep the other team on their toes

a little OT
Did my Publix run tonight, I’ve got my LBC hat on, my Panthers Tshirt and my Panthers zip up sweater. Apparently being dressed in such a manner makes me the official go to person at the store. I was asked no less than 5 times where items were in the store and 2 kids came over to me to tell me “WE SEE RED”. Little kids. Maybe they were 10 or 8. Got a few Go Panthers tonight too. I like it!
WELCOME all Newbies to the LBC!!! The men who write here do a great job and there’s never a dull moment :-)
I hereby predict Captain Mike Weaver #43 will score 6G 20A -RCR 0G9A 12/6
