Sure been quiet around the Florida Panthers of late, eh? Poor sarcasm aside, I wouldn't be averse finding myself waking up tomorrow on a cruise ship ported in St. Anywhere, Caribbean. A wicked bout of post-deadline depression, obviously.

A long few days for all of us, but at least (many) fans are finding comfort in knowing the club is finally on the cliched road to recovery. Strike that: perhaps not "recovery" quite yet; a second though no-less critical surgery is due in June. Then it's off to the recovery room.

Anyone else see the juicy irony in the Cats' management team working overtime yesterday, scrubbing the organization of Jacques Martin and Mike Keenan's fingerprints, only to face two of their prime acquisitions in Cory Stillman and Bryan Allen tonight?

Panthers at Hurricanes, 7pm, Live Game Thread at 6.

Making sure we don’t accidentally win? Would make sense if Clemmer wasn’t as clutch as he is.

Strangely, I’m excited to see this broken incomplete team perform tonight. Can’t wait to see what the effort level is like now that trading worries are through.

Maybe they’ll start enjoying themselves a little more.

Oh I’m on pins and needles for it too. Going to thoroughly enjoy watching these kids develop and fight for spots, regardless of a game’s outcome.

I love Dvo but what exactly about him is worthy of retiring his number? He’s a great hockey player who has maximized his skill set to find a niche in the NHL to have a long and wonderful career.

Sad I just missed him, like hearing Moller on the various shows. Between him, George Richards and Potvin making the rounds we actually get good press on occasion. I miss Potvin’s honesty.

Loved Potvin but couldn’t stand Rimer. I always wanted to create a drinking game with his calls.
“_ looks for a call. None forthcoming” – 1 drink
“the pass fails to click” – 1 drink.

You get the picture. By the end of the game the viewers would be dead, so I never committed the idea to paper. I’m warming up to Lindsay and Goldie, but for my money the best team the Panthers had was Strader/Potvin. Wish Lindsay was back with Moller; he seems lonely.
