VIDEO: Panthers' Bernier expands his game courtesy of Caps' Carlson
Florida's Steve Bernier guards the puck with a bit more than harsh language against Washington's John Carlson at 6:31 of the second period on March 6th, 2011. That wasn't the end of it, as Bernier was only getting warmed up with the physical stuff...
...his next victim being the very same Carlson, only 11 seconds later. The Capitals eventually won by a score of 3-2 in OT.

He needs to show a LOT more of the above “snarl” before that happens.

agreed. but I think he can do it. Also, I’ve seen him going to the front of the goalie quite a few times recently. I think we’re better off having him in Florida next season as opposed to (a) loosing him for nothing and (b) having to get a free agent to fill his role. Note that, if not re-signed, it’s not the end of the world.
No question he’s got it in him; can he do it consistently? That’s the question that separates him from a KHL contract.

Try to stagger the videos perfectly so the hits are about a second or two apart so you get a Binary Bernier Barrage!
