but good stuff re: draft from the avs blog…. I saw another tweet saying that FLA was high on Huberdeau as well…
Thanks; retweeted it on Twitter earlier but unable to post immediately.

Well, NOW you call him an ass. Why couldn’t you guys have run him out of town earlier, huh? ;-)

Personally, I remember him playing apathetic hockey while in FLA, I do not remember him acting like a little child on the ice though. Must be something they teach in Boston.

There were some here who wanted him traded two seasons earlier.
I’ll say this about Horton: at the team signing I went to, he was the most cheerful, outgoing guy in the lot. Smiling, chatting with the fans, etc.
I don’t blame him for wanting a trade, but I still don’t want to see him holding the Cup. Not yet.

He defended his teammate and had a water fight with a fan, I wouldn’t call him an ass.

This incident was just the latest thing hes done, but after what hes been doing all series long I should have seen this coming. A one game suspension was all I wanted because hopefully that would have been enough

A “Fight” is a two party confrontation of the physical variety.
The Fan didn’t do anything besides tell Horton to pack his bags.
“Jackass” may be more fitting than just plain “ass”

+1
My company has an office in Boston and they get like that when they do not get their way. Probably something in the water…..

The league should care more about the hit after the final horn that caused the fans to throw the giveaways on the ice.
I would have no problem at all with no penalty/fine/suspension what-so-ever to Horton if the league didn’t set the precedent with Torts already that any negative interaction with fans will get you a 1 game suspension, minimum. I really didn’t think it was that bad, hell the fan probably deserved it and there is very little if any responsibility placed on the spectator. But the bar was set and now they’re contradicting themselves once again. 2 things I can’t stand about hockey, Bettman and that wheel of justice.
The severity in the actions were different. Torts not only squirted water, but he chucked the a bottle. On top of that, the actuall situation on Torts’ side was prolonged, and continual problem for most of that game where both sides were conducting themselves like idiots. I can understand this ruling, I mean I am sure they felt pressured because of the upcoming game 7—but I think they in the end made the right call.

I agree the length was different, but unless I saw incorrectly Horton did throw the bottle in to the stands after, which was retrieved by the rink/team employee. I agree they made the right call, I don’t think that should affect the outcome in the series, my problem is the precedent that has been set, the NHL once again confuses the hell out of everyone
