Panthers sign Wilson to ELC; offer Gudbranson a contract; salary cap could reach $63M

The Florida Panthers have secured Garrett Wilson to an Entry Level Contract for 3 years, per the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. The team has also stepped out and offered Erik Gudbranson a contract as well; the club is waiting on him to respond.

David Pacan remains the only Florida player who needs to be signed by the end of the night. If not, he will re-enter the draft. The kid has some potential so I hope to see him signed as well.

Re the 2011-12 salary cap, per Global Toronto:

The salary cap is expected to climb for a sixth straight season in 2011-12 and could reach more than $62 million. If that were to happen, every team would have to spend at least $46 million to reach the salary floor.
